From there, the pumping action of the design drives the toe deeper with every bit of load, creating a hold that gets stronger as the conditions get tougher.

When the tide turns or the wind shifts, most anchors get levered out of the bottom by a slack chain fouling the flukes. The No. 2 pivots through a full 360 degrees within the seabed instead, keeping its grip no matter which way the boat swings.
